Fearless Self-Love is the Key to a Flourishing Life You Love.
“Over the course of 10 weeks I have become more aware of my unconscious habits and taken small steps toward developing new and better habits. Even with just the small changes I’ve made in 10 weeks I am already feeling more in tune with my body, sleeping better, experiencing more consistent energy, and most importantly, genuinely wanting to continue on my journey toward easeful living and self love!” — Dawn B.

My newly-acquired “super power” [is] using a mindful, sighing exhale to calm my nerves. @ home in your body has helped me be more mindful in my daily life, but of course there are still plenty of times when I get caught up in the chaos … And when those things come up, a sighing exhale can serve as a bit of a reset button for me. It allows me to return to the moment, and ultimately to not stray too far from the habits I’ve been putting in place. — Jessica O.
Fork in the Fight is a recent blog series on Lacuna Loft, that Andrea and her friend, Grace, created together. They share their story about Grace’s fight with juvenile bone cancer and Andrea’s role in cooking and delivering meals to Grace.
With a few other local Yoga teachers, Andrea volunteered to found Sila, a yoga prison program to share a hatha yoga practice with youth and adults who are incarcerated, or otherwise do not have access to yoga classes.
Before teaching yoga, Andrea graduated from the University of Michigan and worked with local grassroots non-profit organizations: The Young People’s Project, Inc. and Tilian Farmer Development Center to organize the community around their missions and create sustainable programming, and volunteered with The Agrarian Adventure. She continues to be closely tied to these and other meaningful community work. When not practicing or teaching yoga or sharing Ayurveda with clients, Andrea enjoys growing, cooking and sharing food with friends and family, hiking nearby trails with her dog, Porter, listening to live music, and continuing to learn and grown in all areas of her life.
